Emily Carroll, nurse and mother to six little children has some pregnancy tips for you (she does have some experience in this aisle).
Emily started out her pregnancy journey carrying twins! She is very petite at 5’3, and she carried twins to 39 weeks and 6 days! Power woman. Everyone, even her doctor said, “She won’t go to full term.” BUT she did.
Next was her little girl, then a little boy, and then another little baby boy.
She had three pregnancies in three years. Again, POWER woman.
After a four-year gap, she delivered another baby boy.
Now we are at present day with Emily.
She says that every birth and pregnancy was different, and she wants you to know that your experience in pregnancy will be unique from hers. But she can still give you some tips.
Preparation and education help alleviate fear and anxiety in childbirth.
So, how can a mama get prepared?
Emily was a first-time mama carrying twins, and she was always asking questions. She would get different answers from different people. Maybe you feel like Emily.
Emily had people sources, many copies of What to Expect, and the internet. She was swimming in information.
“All of the information out there can be super overwhelming. You feel like you are drinking from a fire hydrant sometimes!”
Plus it is difficult to discern which sources are trusted versus “just found it on the internet”.
This can produce anxiety, especially when internet information is different from what people say happened in their story!

Doctor/Midwife is too busy, friends/acquaintances have their own horror story, the internet can’t be trusted, the book is too long…Who is Mama supposed to talk to about these fears and anxieties?
“Be diligent and intentional to find a trusted source. Stick with that trusted source once you find it. This will make a huge difference in turning your anxiety into calmness, and overwhelmed into confidence.”
You found us, Mama. And we are here to help you out.
Pearently is your trusted source to a fearless birth journey. Annabelle is a nurse, doula, and mama who knows your fears, but she also knows how to overcome those fears.
A happy ending
Emily attempted labor and delivery without pain medication, and she was successful. She was calm in labor, and she had a beautiful childbirth experience.
Emily’s healthy babies were born vaginally in the operating room weighing in at 7 pounds 14 ounces and 6 pounds 8 ounces.
She had her own story as will you.
